Get Ready for Laser Season
We still have a little bit of summer left, which means laser season is right around the corner! If you are scheduled for one of our amazing laser treatments, please be sure to follow a few of our helpful tips to ensure you get the best treatment possible:
No sun exposure for 4-6 weeks before and after your treatment.
Discontinue use of all retinol products 3-5 days prior to your scheduled appointment. We also ask that you refrain from use of sunless tanners for a minimum of 5 days prior to your scheduled appointment.
If you have a history of cold sores or a diagnosis of HSV, you will need a prescription for prophylaxis prior to the procedure. Call our office and we’d be happy to help you with a prescription.
If you have an active cold sore for your appointment, your visit will need to be rescheduled.

Dr. Jason Pou has been with Robertson Cosmetic Center for a little over one year. What you might not know, is that Dr. Pou originally is from Louisiana!
He did his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Tulane University in New Orleans followed by two consecutive prestigious facial plastic and reconstructive fellowships at Emory University in Atlanta and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
He worked as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in New Orleans at a large academic institution before joining the Robertson team.
But how did he end up in Madison, Wisconsin? Throughout his medical career, he has been involved in several global health trips to provide his expertise to underserved areas in Kenya and Central and South America. During his time in Nicaragua in 2017, he met a very special volunteer who had joined the trip from Milwaukee. This person would later become Dr. Pou’s fiancé! She started her medical career at UW Madison, and this is how Dr. Pou found the Robertson team. Professionally, Dr. Pou has special interest in rhinoplasty and aging face surgery and is leading several research projects to ultimately improve patient outcomes in the field of facial plastics and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Pou has received many outstanding reviews from patients; he is known not only for his excellent surgical outcomes but also for his bedside manner as a great listener and communicator who cares greatly about his patients and their goals and happiness.
In his spare time, Dr. Pou loves music, travelling, and the outdoors. He is an accomplished pianist and plays all genres of music. He and his fiancé love going to live shows of all kinds. He is an avid runner and has trained for numerous events and marathons. You might find him out on long runs around the lakes even during the middle of winter. He loves to play golf, and his favorite winter activity is downhill skiing. He is the proud father of a 14-year-old Australian Cattle dog and loves taking her on walks in the park.
