Get Ready for Laser Season
We still have a little bit of summer left, which means laser season is right around the corner! If you are scheduled for one of our amazing laser treatments, please be sure to follow a few of our helpful tips to ensure you get the best treatment possible:
No sun exposure for 4-6 weeks before and after your treatment.
Discontinue use of all retinol products 3-5 days prior to your scheduled appointment. We also ask that you refrain from use of sunless tanners for a minimum of 5 days prior to your scheduled appointment.
If you have a history of cold sores or a diagnosis of HSV, you will need a prescription for prophylaxis prior to the procedure. Call our office and we’d be happy to help you with a prescription.
If you have an active cold sore for your appointment, your visit will need to be rescheduled.

Men can get upper eyelid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) too!
Like women, men can experience upper eyelid skin hooding or heaviness as they age. This can occur because of excess upper eyelid skin, with or without eyebrow heaviness. This often makes someone look older and more tired than they are or feel. When severe, excess upper eyelid skin can obstruct vision and result in forehead strain and wrinkles from constantly lifting the eyebrows up.
The goal of a male upper blepharoplasty is to lift the eyelids and give the eyes a more rejuvenated and awake appearance. Upper blepharoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure involving an incision in the natural upper eyelid crease with conservative removal of skin and unwanted fat, while preserving a masculine appearance. The procedure can be done alone or in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures.
Procedure time: ~1 hour.
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia with or without relaxation medication.
Downtime: Minimal.
Immediately after the surgery, some bruising, swelling, dryness of the eyes, and mild discomfort is common
Most people are back to normal daily activities/socializing in about 7-10 days
Incision lines can be raised, pink, and bumpy at first but fade over months. They are usually eventually barely noticeable.
Results: Long lasting.
Final results can take several weeks to months to become apparent.
